3D-search and analysis

3D-searching is a revolution to search systems and a milestone within the methods of part diversity management. So far the recovery of parts was bound to the strict and formal rules of description text or classification - which formerly required way too much time and meticulousness. These days are over now! Nowadays the 3D-shape of parts and assemblies are used as "keywords" for searching.

Part diversity management can now succesfully applied on all parts and assemblies, where classification had failed due to high variance of parts or lots of necessary parameters. 3D-search is specialized to cover the geometrical shape, while classification on the other hand covers functional parameters - such as power, material or rotation speed. It is truely a perfect combination!

3D-search does not only focus on engineering department. Procurement, logistics, service, sales and other take the benefit as well - and actually even more! For further information about functions and application areas of 3DSearchIT click here...

Part map

This new method allows you to compare all parts of your spectrum with each other without lifting a finger. What you get is a an analysis of all duplicates and clusters of similary parts or assemblies. The clusters are spread out on a plane created a map featuring separated piles or hills of equal or similar parts. This way you can detect the topology of your parts at one glance. Then you can start to decompose the piles of parts systematically.
